on a sad note

My mother phoned me early this morning, to tell me that my Grandmother passed away last night. She's been in hospital for a few weeks now, due to water on the lungs. We were under the impression that things were getting better, because she was no longer in intensive care, but it was not to be. I spoke to her earlier this week and she sounded like she was doing well, except for the nurses loosing her false teeth :-)

She was a fantastic person, who has tough me, and everybody else, some very simple, yet very important lessons in live. The first that come to mind are: always be fair, and treat everybody equal, and save something every month, even if it's just R20, it's the principle...

She will be missed very much.
