mushroom picking

So today we did what our parents have always told us not to do. We went into the forest, picked some mushrooms, took them home, and ate them. Tokai forest has hundreds of mushrooms after the rain, although I'm guessing that most of them are poisonous. They say all mushrooms are edible, at least once.

After being shown one particular edible species (by a stranger in the forest ;-) and doing a bit of research on the net, and in our books, we're fairly confident that we won't die...





Here's the scary looking orange (with a hint of blue) mushrooms that we'll be eating for the next few days. What does it taste like? Well I hate to say it, but it's a lot like chicken! (Isn't that what they always say?)
