more mushrooms

After our initial (fairly reckless) venture into wild mushrooms, we discovered, by a great co-incidence, that the Stellenbosch Horticultural Society where having a mushroom outing today. So early this morning, we drove out to Jonkershoek for some mushroom picking and education.

The outing was presented by Dr. Adriaan Smit from the Mushroom Academy, and it was very interesting indeed. He showed us some edible, and poisonous mushrooms, and how to identify them. It really was worth the effort.
