orienteering at highlands

Today's race was perfect. The course was very nice and challenging, the terrain was really rough, my legs just couldn't manage, but it was fantastic. It is so seldom that one looks at the map, and the terrain, and everything makes sense, you know exactly where you are, and where you're going. Today was one of those days for me.

I only made one small mistake at no 9, which I corrected immediately, and hit all the other controls just about 100%. I guess my route choices could be a little straighter, if I was fitter, but I chose to run around a lot of the rough stuff because the going was just too slow.

This was one of my best races ever, from a accuracy point of view.
