This morning (very early at around 5), while we were driving around the area, we saw a small buck, I think perhaps a duiker, a few blocks from our house. And a little while later, also very close to our house, we saw another porcupine.

We managed to get a really good look at both animals, because the buck was standing next to the road behind a bush, about a meter from us, and the porcupine crossed the road right in front of our car.
