pan's labyrinth

The movie Pan's Labyrinth was highly recommended on The Ungodly Hour, and it got very high ratings on the MovieSite, so I convinced Ansie that we should drive the 35km to the nearest Cinema Nouveau and go watch it.

Well... I think it has a nice story, and the photography is brilliant, BUT, they really could have skipped some of those gory scenes. I don't think I'm a squeamish person, but for the first time in many years, I had to look away from the screen because I just couldn't handle the visuals.

I honestly think that the movie could be much, much better if they'd cut some of the hectic stuff...
