Sometimes, especially after a holiday, we forget how lucky we are to live were we do (and no longer in a big city like Johannesburg). And then something happens to remind you of how lucky we are.
This morning, on my training run (in the dark with my headlamp) I saw a porcupine, a few blocks from our house, on the lawn next to the road. It's the first time I've ever seen one, and I didn't get a decent look at it. I wasn't sure how aggressive or dangerous they could be, so I didn't go too close to it. I don't think it's something a lot of people might come across while doing their daily training...
