Stirrup Glen is (in my opinion) probably the best place in Gauteng for orienteering.
The farm has a few hills (not too big), some typical bushveld, and there used to be a large forested area, which has been cleared due to South African laws on invasive plant species (wattle, I've been told).
There's also a very interesting quarry, which has been re-mapped in detail recently. The quarry has lots of cairns, passages, dead ends and some forest in between. It's very tricky on the navigation, but fairly easy on the legs. So a really fun area for orienteering.
I really enjoyed the race, off course, there's always the complaint of not being fit enough to go faster, but the course was really good.
And here's a map from a previous event at Stirrup Glen.
