We went sight seeing at the cape point for a late friday afternoon break. It's been raining on and off for a few days now, but it's not very cold, and we're still enjoying the weather here.



We saw some ostriches on the beach.



I'll not pretend that I know the in's and out's of nature conservation, but I do think Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) are very one sided when it comes to sharing the mountain. They're about to remove all the lovely forests at Tokai, and they won't allow orienteering on any of their land. But they'll do a "controlled burn" of a HUGE area of the park, for "conservation" (which apparently went completely wrong and became a raging uncontrolled fire). I don't think orienteers could ever do that amount of damage to an area...
