thunder and lightning

We were woken early this morning by the thunder and lightning, which is apparently a fairly rare thing here in Cape Town. It's the first time we've had any in almost seven months. Very nice to hear familiar sounds for a change!

Three hours later, and it's clear blue skies and another wonderful day ahead. Not sure why everybody says the weather is crap down here...
