We first saw the Therme Vals in an article in the Wallpaper magazine years ago. The spa is located in Switzerland, and is a absolutely beautiful building created by Peter Zumthor using natural stone from the area. Since then we've come across various articles and photos of the spa from time to time, and we've even seen a French tv documentary on the building while we where on our honeymoon in France. It's on our list of "places to see before we die".

It is a wonderfull experience to go there, the building is very spatial and has something almost sensual to it. This is in fact something that comes forth in Atelier Zumthor's other works, he calls it himself 'slow architecture', because he tends to think and rethink his designs very well.
Check out www.therme-vals.ch, don't forget to reservate because sometimes they do not allow any more visitors. It's quite expensive, but it's worth the money.
