fairview / franschhoek

We've been meaning to go to Fairview cheese and wine farm for a while now, mainly because we enjoyed it very much the last time we where there (a few years ago), but also because I've done a cheese making course since then, so I know a little more about cheese, and we really love camembert, which is a Fairview speciality.
The place has changed quite a bit, they've added a restaurant, renovated the cheese and wine tasting areas, and they've become very busy!
The food at the restaurant is very good, but I'd recommend booking a table if you're going to go on a weekend.





After lunch we drove to the very beautiful Franschhoek, and then via the mountain pass to Grabouw, followed (once again) by the scenic detour home via Betty's Bay...
